This was the perfect Father's Day gift! This little air compressor works like a charm. When I need to add a little air to any of my car tires, I just connect the tool and set the pressure and it adds the air and then shuts of at the set pressure. Not only does it have a 20V battery, it comes with a battery adapter that plugs into the lighter receptacle of the car in case the regular battery dies. It comes with everything that you need for inflating anything from air beds, pool toys, to sports balls. I really like this handy little tool and have already used it many times.
With four vehicles in my household plus a motorhome and a race car trailer, I always have a tire somewhere that needs more air. Add a couple of ATVs, an E-bike, and a mini-bike, a small cordless tire inflator could be very handy.
At first glance, this inflator has some things going for it. It’s pretty compact in size. It has a 20v, 2.0Ah Li-Ion battery. The battery has a power status monitor with three lights that illuminate to show power remaining. Plus, it has an adapter that goes in place of the battery pack; it has a 10-foot cord that plugs into a 12v power port in your car, enabling you to use the inflator if the battery pack is depleted.
The inflator has a digital display that will show your tire pressure when you connect the inflation valve. You can set a target pressure on the display and will automatically stop when this pressure is achieved.
Included with the inflator are some adapters that allow for inflation of balls and toys plus Schrader and Presta valves. A bag is included for transport and storage of the inflator and accessories. This bag is a little like those re-useable shopping bags except it has a snap closure at the opening.
Unfortunately, I have some serious reservations about this inflator. The first of which is wording in the included manual that states that it is “not intended for inflating large-volume inflatable items such as inflatable boats and large air mattresses or for inflating car tyres”. I have included an image of the manual with this text circled with this review. Since the Amazon description specifically states that this is a “Car Tire Pump”, the statement in the manual is a little contradictory and also concerning. Also, the “fine print” in the Amazon description includes the following note: Heavy duty is not supported Truck or tractor tires, suitable inflatable tire range (P195-P225). The tires on my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sport S are the standard OEM size which is 245/75R17, which I do not consider to be heavy duty, but apparently FadakWalt (the maker of this inflator) does. That did not stop me, however, from trying this inflator on my Jeep tires.
In order to test the inflator, I dropped the pressure of one of my Jeep tires from the recommended 36psi to 30psi. I then used the inflator to bring the pressure back up to 30psi. It took about 2 minutes to re-inflate the tire, which I believe is acceptable. However, once inflation was complete, the metal fitting at the end of the inflation hose (closest to the pump) was so hot that it would burn your fingers if you touched it. I can only imagine how hot the actual pump mechanism was inside the housing. The Amazon description states that “after 15 minutes of continuous use, please allow the air compressor to rest and cool down for at least the same amount of time before continuing to use it.” I can only imagine how hot it would get after 15 minutes.
I also tried the same test, but used the 12v adapter instead of the battery pack. The inflator worked, but at 12 volts it ran much slower that it did on the 20-volt battery pack. You could pretty much hear it running at 3/5 speed. After a couple of minutes and only a one psi increase, I gave up on the 12v adapter.
I have quite a few cordless power tools from different manufacturers and I did discover that a Makita 18v battery pack fit this inflator perfectly. It appeared to work fine, pretty much the same as the 20v battery pack that was included. Using a Makita battery pack would probably void the warranty on this inflator, but I couldn’t find any warranty information on Amazon for this unit, so it is probably a moot point.
One other thing I did not like about this inflator was, despite the fact you could set a target psi when inflating a tire, it was not a “set and forget” system. In other words, you had to hold down the trigger switch until the target was reached. I have seen other inflators that would automatically keep running until the target was reached without user intervention once the pump was started.
To me, the negatives outweigh the positives for this inflator and I really cannot recommend it.
I have not had an occasion to use on my car tires but my daughter frequently complains about the need to fill her bicycle tires. This portable air compressor arrived charged and worked perfectly. The battery has a charging station included.
First off you need to know what you're getting. This is a 12v drill so don't buy this expecting an impact gun or a 20v drill. It is a 12v drill, so it won't have an issue tightening or sinking some screws, bolts or drilling some holes or the like around the house. Don't expect to be drilling 8inch lag bolts all day.
With that in mind it's an amazing value. It's a brush motor so expect some sparking in the back of the housing, it's totally normal and it's perfectly fine. The first thing I did was build my new chair with it and it made it a 10 minute job. The Chuck is good, easy to adjust but not loose so you won't accidently mess with it while using it.
I purchased it specifically to be a step above the little 4v skill screwdriver I have and love for small projects, like computer building and things of that nature, basically just to unscrew and screw faster. This is used for some shelves into studs, chairs, small bolt drivers and things of that, essentially normal around the house stuff. I have Milwaukee tools for cars and a makita drill. It's not going to compete with those and I don't always want to break those out for simple things like building a chair or hanging a displate poster or small shelf.
That's what this is perfect for, a great addition to you drawer with tools in the house. Especially for the price I am impressed with this drill. I believe you will be too as long as you understand what you're buying.
Pros:
-Decent ergonomics
-Powerful enough to match more well known 12v drills or so.
-has a light (it's not super great but it's good enough)
-feels sturdy (again it's no $400 Milwaukee impact but for the price it's solid)
-fairly compact for tight spaces
-good weight distribution.
-inexpensive
Cons:
-reverse/forward switch is a little low so you hand can hit it if you grip the drill high up
-charger feels pretty cheap and unless you're like me you won't have another compatible one laying around if it goes bad. Rather see usb-c for this kind of charging.
-light is a little dim and not angled well to see while drilling, but it works well enough.
Good for light duty uses, started smoking and grinding when we tried to mount a TV (drilling bolts into studs).
Used it for less than six months and the battery took a dump. Won’t even charge anymore. Spend the money on a better drill.
Excellent drill made well & overall not too heavy. Lets face it ladies we're the ones using this. This cordless drill is perfect for my needs. Reasonable & made well. Definitely a good purchase!
Made a train horn out of it and it sound really good, I give full credit to the drill for all the power in it. Love making train horns out of drills. This drill made it even more fun with the size
Arrived on time and works really well. No issue so far, it’s not very loud and pimps the tyre in a few minutes
I bought this inflator as a backup for road trips, but now I use it all the time. It’s compact enough to store in my car’s glove box, yet it’s powerful enough to inflate my car tires, my kids’ bikes, and even pool floats. The digital display makes it easy to set the exact PSI, and it automatically stops when it reaches the set pressure. That’s a big plus for me, as I never liked guessing or checking manually. The cord and attachments are neatly stored in the unit, and the flashlight function is a nice touch for nighttime emergencies. I’ve already used it during a flat-tire situation, and it saved me from having to wait for roadside assistance. Every car owner should have one of these – it’s affordable, efficient, and incredibly practical.
Súper bueno y muy buena calidad
This tire inflator works fast, is easy to use, and the auto shut-off is a great feature. Perfect for quick topups and emergency use, glad I keep it in my trunk!
Great drill for the money
